Team Plastique rework
Team Plastique have uploaded my re-work of their song "Mercy BJ" onto their remix page. http://www.myspace.com/teamplastiqueremixesI don't think it counts as a remix, really. Have a listen to the original, and then mine, and please comment on how far you think a song can be mutated before the altered version is now longer called a "remix". |

Snow
I've not seen such a deep and persistent snowfall in many years. It always brings the feeling that I should be filming something. It's as if there was an idea I've had which requires snow to work. I should be rushing out of the house crying "at last! Now I can make that transcendent piece of art!" I will be doing some filming but it might be some atmospheric landscapes rather than transcendent art. I love the snow, although I am aware it brings hardship. Yesterday evening, I was asking my landlord if we had some food for the birds. "I've got fat balls" he replied. And we left the words hanging in the air. Music news: I finally finished "Wake Up! Wake Up!" yesterday. I began working on it on 1st May 2005. It should be the first of ten new songs released this year. |

New video
My friend Paul Snowe once mentioned an idea for a video. As it's his birthday, I prepared the video and uploaded it to YouTube. It's 1'44. I've been coughing a lot lately and the final few seconds had me laughing and coughing away like a good 'un last night. It is something to my advantage that I can make myself laugh. |

Album released
I turned on the TV last night to see Gunther Von Hagens asking the audience to say which of three knife wounds he was threatening a nude woman with would be fatal, after slicing open a dead man's wrist. I was wondering what a foreign visitor would make of our TV. And now I think: Channel 4 are missing a trick here. For the Xmas market, a TV tie-in - Gunter Von Hagens Operation! The down-side is, because the body is already dead, it's unlikely to make a sound when the knife slips. A solution would be to have it go "brains!" in a zombie voice (Gunter Von Hagens vs. the Zombies) or to have a snatch of commentary about how bad the player's knifework is. Wednesday peformance
I'm performing at the Foundry in Hoxton (84-86 Great Eastern Street London EC2) on Wednesday 24th October. I'm doing a 20-minute set as part of Miss Roberts's Flying Cabaret. Also on the bill are the Rude Mechanicals and Sordid Kabaret (opera with porn lyrics) and some art in the basement... I assume things will kick off about 8pm. |
